After short-term shift by 2 weeks of our trip we were still lucky: On 03/23/2012 the European space freighter ATV3 "Eduardo Almaldi" lifted off to a magnificent night lauch from the European Spaceport CSG Kourou (French Guiana, South America). Punctually at 01:34 on the second, the rocket boosters roaring started with extremely loud, the sound waves could even flutter the clothes! The jungle tune the sonic boom and Ariane lit up the whole sky. The shock waves were felt in the chest and the event was spectacular! The flight of the spaceship was then scheduled and the "Eduardo Almaldi" later docked at the International Space Station. We thank the Astrium GmbH for the invitation and congratulate all the team members for the successful launch of ATV3! ![]() Impressions from the European Spaceport CSG Kourou Our Space Tour in March 2012 led to French Guiana. From the jungle platform Agami, we observed only a few hours after arrival in Kourou the rocket launch and during the following days the CSG (Centre Spatial Guyanais) and the tropical country.
